Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 June 2026
1. Who we are
Savvy is operated by Savvy Technologies Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 00000000), with its registered office at [PLACEHOLDER: registered office address], United Kingdom ("Savvy", "we", "us"). You can contact us at support@savvypay.uk.
Savvy provides a Pay Now, Buy Later service: you save towards a purchase in instalments, and the item is ordered and delivered only once your savings target is reached. Savvy is not a credit product. We do not lend you money, we do not charge you interest or fees, we do not perform credit checks, and using Savvy can never put you in debt.
2. How a Savvy plan works
When you check out with Savvy at a participating merchant, you choose a number of monthly instalments. Your first instalment is collected at checkout and the rest are collected automatically each month using your chosen payment method.
Your money is held safeguarded on your behalf while you save. When your saved balance reaches your plan target, Savvy places the order with the merchant and arranges delivery to your nominated address. Ownership of the item passes to you on delivery in accordance with the merchant's terms of sale.
Savvy plans come in two variants, shown clearly at checkout:
- Savvy Price Lock — the merchant guarantees the price you saw at checkout for the length of your plan. You will never pay more than the locked price.
- Savvy Flexible — the item price may change while you save. If the price rises, we will tell you and you can top up the difference, extend your plan by a month, or cancel for a full refund. If the price falls and your savings already cover it, your plan completes early at the lower price.
3. Your money
All instalments you pay are recorded on an auditable double-entry ledger and held for safeguarding until your purchase completes or your plan is cancelled. Your balance is always yours: it is either used to pay the merchant for your item at completion, or returned to you in full if you cancel.
Savvy earns its revenue from merchant fees and from interest earned on safeguarded balances. We never charge customers interest, late fees, or penalties.
4. Missed instalments
If an instalment cannot be collected (for example an expired card), we will tell you and retry. A missed instalment never creates debt or charges — it simply delays your order until your savings target is reached. You can also pay manually or update your payment method at any time.
5. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel an active plan at any time from your Savvy account. When you cancel, all future instalments stop and your full saved balance is refunded to your original payment method. Refunds usually arrive within 5–10 working days depending on your bank. Cancelling never affects your credit record, because no credit is involved.
Once a plan completes and your item has been ordered, the merchant's returns and refunds policy and your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to the purchased goods.
6. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident to use Savvy. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the contact and delivery details on your account. Contact us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your authority.
7. The merchant relationship
The sale contract for the goods is between you and the merchant. Savvy acts as the payment and savings service that facilitates the purchase. The merchant is responsible for product descriptions, stock, dispatch, delivery, returns, and warranties. If an item becomes unavailable before your plan completes, we will offer you an alternative or a full refund of your saved balance.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with a Savvy plan is limited to the total amount you have paid into that plan.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will give you reasonable notice by email before it takes effect. The latest version always applies and is published on this page.
10. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are unhappy with our service, please see our complaints procedure — we take every complaint seriously.
