Frequently asked questions

What is Savvy?
Savvy is Pay Now, Buy Later. Instead of borrowing to buy now, you save towards your purchase in monthly instalments. Once your savings target is reached, Savvy orders the item and it's delivered to you — fully paid, with nothing owed.
How is Savvy different from Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL)?
BNPL gives you the item first and leaves you with a debt to repay. Savvy is the opposite: your money builds up first and the item ships once it's fully paid. That means no credit, no debt, no interest, no late fees, and no credit checks — ever.
Does using Savvy affect my credit score?
No. Savvy never performs credit checks and never reports to credit reference agencies, because there is no lending involved. Missing an instalment or cancelling a plan can never harm your credit record.
What happens to my money while I save?
Every instalment is recorded on an auditable ledger and held safeguarded on your behalf. Your balance is only ever used to pay for your item when your plan completes — or refunded to you in full if you cancel.
What if the price changes while I'm saving?
It depends on your plan variant, which is shown clearly at checkout. Savvy Price Lock means the merchant honours the checkout price for the length of your plan. Savvy Flexible means the price may move: if it rises we'll notify you and you can top up, extend your plan by a month, or cancel for a full refund. If it falls and your savings already cover the new price, your plan completes early at the lower price.
What if I miss an instalment?
Nothing bad happens. We'll let you know and retry the payment. There are no late fees, no penalties, and no debt — a missed instalment simply delays your order until your target is reached. You can also pay manually or update your card at any time.
Can I cancel? Do I get my money back?
Yes, you can cancel any active plan at any time from your Savvy account. All future instalments stop immediately and your full saved balance is refunded to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 working days.
When do I receive my item?
As soon as your final instalment is collected (or you top up to your target early), Savvy places the order with the merchant for delivery to your nominated address. You'll get an email at every step — plan confirmed, each instalment collected, order placed, and dispatch.
Can I pay my plan off early?
Yes. You can top up any amount at any time. When your saved balance reaches your target, your remaining instalments are cancelled and your order is placed straight away.
What does Savvy cost?
Savvy is free for customers. You pay exactly the price of your item — no interest, no fees, no charges of any kind. Savvy earns a small fee from the merchant when your purchase completes.
